To put it directly: it is physically impossible to convert a 4G-only phone into a 5G phone using a software update, code, or app.
If you have seen videos or articles claiming there is a secret “full method” or developer code to instantly unlock 5G on a 4G mobile, they are misleading. Here is the plain truth about why this is the case, and what you actually need to do to get 5G.
Why You Can’t Convert a 4G Phone to 5G
Mobile networks rely heavily on physical hardware inside your device, not just software:
- The Modem: A 4G phone contains a physical modem designed only to read 4G LTE signals. It literally does not speak the “language” of 5G.
- The Antennas: 5G operates on entirely different, much higher radio frequencies (such as Sub-6 GHz and mmWave). Your 4G phone’s built-in internal antennas cannot physically pick up or process these frequencies.
The Real “Method” to Get 5G
To experience true 5G speeds, you must meet four essential requirements:
1. You Must Have a 5G-Enabled Phone
You need a phone that was built with a 5G processor and modem (such as newer models from Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc.).
